No, I don't think it's weird that you talk to your cat. Geoff and I talk to ours all the time, and they talk back to us. Sometimes, G even sings to Beaker (who got her name because she sounds like the Muppets character).
By the way, good choice of background music for the video.
I talk to our cats like that all the time. Fred's meow sounds a lot like our cat Beaumont - and they're both kinda dumb kitties, too. I'll bet they'd be best friends. :-)
